Leonard Manthe is Director of programmes and District Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an M.Sc. in microbiology from the USA and UK respectively. He brings with him vast experience collected while working for government. For seven of his twenty-nine years of service, he was Head of Department Technical Support Services in the Ministry of Health. One of Leonard’s contributions to the fight against HIV/AIDS is his leadership in the construction of the Botswana-Harvard HIV Reference Laboratory which is a state of the art Laboratory dedicated to diagnosis, patient monitoring for CD4, viral load, research and training of health professionals. |

Benjamin Bisogho Binagwa is Prevention Manager at ACHAP. His career spans for 26 years as a Medical Clinical Officer and Senior Health Education Officer with the Ministry of Health, Uganda; Program Technical Officer, Behaviour Change Communication with the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) under the African Youth Alliance; Resident Technical Advisor, HIV/AIDS and Reproductive Health to the Ministry of Health, Eritrea with the Academy for Educational Development under the USAID/TASC Program; IEC/BCC Manager for JSI on the AIDS/HIV Integrated Model District Program in Uganda where his duties included strategic program development for BCC and related HIV/AIDS prevention interventions. Mr. Binagwa has worked on consultancy basis with a host of local and International organizations including UNFPA, UNICEF, WHO, UNDP supporting HIV/AIDS program development and implementation. He has, until 2002 been a part time lecturer on the MPH course at Makerere University, Uganda. He graduated from the Leeds Metropolitan University, UK with an Msc in Health Promotion/Education. He holds a Bsc in Community Health and a Diploma in IEC for Health from Leeds Polytechnic, UK and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Fort Portal Medical Clinical Officers’ School, Uganda. He also holds certificates in AIDS, Human Sexuality and Program Planning and counselor training from the AIDS Institute, New York. |

Limpet Mpotokwane is a Senior Program Officer, community mobilization and advocacy. She is responsible for sector liaison and backup in prevention, care and support project development. Prior to her appointment, she was the national HIV/AIDS co-ordinator for the Botswana Ministry of Education and held several ministerial and inter-ministerial positions. She holds a BSc degree, a Diploma in Education, a post-graduate Diploma in Population and Sustainable Development from the University of Botswana and a Post Graduate Diploma in HIV/AIDS Management from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. |

Eno Ada Mereyabone is a Senior Programme Officer responsible for the Botswana Network of AIDS Service Organisations (BONASO) and the Botswana Christian AIDS Intervention Programme (BOCAIP). Her responsibilities include monitoring, evaluating and identifying best practices within these programmes. Ada has formely worked with the government as a Tirelo sechaba (national service) officer and Botswana National Youth Council as a program officer. She has a BSW degree and is pursuing a masters degree through the University of Botswana |

Charles Olenja is Senior Programme Officer at ACHAP. He worked for United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for a total period of twenty two-years where his role was to analyze and provide advice on demographic, health, environmental and socio-economic situations in Kenya in order to guide informed decision-making on the UNFPA and UNDP country programmes of assistance. He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Demography and a Post graduate Diploma in Demography both attained from the United Nations Cairo Demographic center in Egypt and a Bachelor of Arts (honors) degree in Geography from the University of Nairobi in Kenya. |

Bekure Hawaz is Senior Program Officer for Behaviour Change Communication (BCC). He has over 25 years work experience. He worked for Botswana Ministry of Health and Ethiopia at different capacities (as a program coordinator, manager, trainer/lecturer, health officer). He has undertaken short term consultancy assignments on different public health issues for WHO/AFRO, SIDA and UNICEF. Has also worked for four years as ACHAP Seconded IEC/BCIC Consultant to strengthen the capacity of the National AIDS Coordinating Agency-NACA . He holds a BSc, MPH and Post Graduate Certificate in Health Care for Developing Countries. |

Chris Batsalelwang is Senior Programme Officer responsible for supervision and provision of technical support in the implementation of ACHAP supported HIV & AIDS District plans in Mabutsane and Selibe Phikwe Health Districts. Prior to this appointment Chris was Head of the Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) HIV & AIDS division responsible for the overall HIV & AIDS policy development and coordination of implementation of HIV & AIDS mainstreaming activities within the vocational training sector in Botswana. Chris is not new to ACHAP; he was previously employed in 2004 and 2005 as ACHAP Senior Programme Officer responsible for the overall supervision and support to Condom Distribution Programme, Teacher Capacity Building project, and Youth HIV Prevention under Blood Safety Programme supported by ACHAP. He also participated as part of ACHAP team that supported the Seven (7) partner districts to develop action plans for ACHAP support. Chris has also worked for UNFPA as the National Professional Project Office and BNYC as Special Projects Manager. He brings with him 10 years experience of working on youth HIV prevention programmes focusing on enabling youth/adolescents to have access to quality HIV & AIDS and SRH information and services. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Town & Country Planning from University of the West of England, UK and an MSc in SRH and Family Planning Management, Cardiff University, UK. |
