Miss Baraedi Winnie Mogomotsi is Programme Officer for Francistown District. Her career spans for six years where she worked with communities to assist them to identify their needs, priorities, problem areas and develop intervention strategies. She also provided public education on HIV/AIDS programs and activities as well as facilitating the establishment of community groups which inform such processes. Among other things, she worked closely with the various project stakeholders to ensure they were informed about the study processes, community awareness and education regarding the clinical trials. Miss Mogomotsi also prepared funding proposals for activities of the programmes that she was managing and financial reporting to donors. She has worked for Botswana Community Based Organisation Network (BOCOBONET) as a Training co-coordinator; the Agency for Cooperation and Research as Community Livelihoods Officer and for BOTUSA as the Community Liaison Officer. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Botswana. She is currently pursuing Masters in Public health through the University of South Africa on part-time basis.
Boniface M. Masole is Programme Officer for Mabutsane district. Prior to joining ACHAP he was working with the Salvation Army Psychosocial Support Initiative (SAPSSI) funded by UNECEF, HOPE HIV (UK) and the Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative whose focus is on psychosocial support for children infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. His key responsibilities are on programming and planning for psychosocial support for children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, programme management, capacity development of other child/youth service organizations, advocacy for children/youth psychosocial support issues, resource mobilization and liaising with stakeholders e.g. Governmental departments, NGOs, CBOs. He holds a degree in Social work from the University of Botswana. and has attended extensive psychosocial support training and programming across the region and nationally.
Mrs Elizabeth Moshi is Programme Officer for Selebi Phikwe district. Before joining ACHAP, she worked for the United Nations Development Programme in Botswana as the District AIDS Advisor-Community Capacity Enhancement Process Facilitator in Kweneng District. Her role was, among other things, to provide leadership and technical support on implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community capacity process, supporting community driven initiatives and approaches to HIV/AIDS prevention and promoting the policies and strategies of the national AIDS program. Still with Kweneng District, she worked as a United Nations Volunteer Specialist where she assisted the District AIDS Multisectoral committee in mobilizing and supporting the co-ordinated district response, as well as identifying requirements for funding, training and technical support that may be provided by the Donors. She also worked for the Women NGOs coalition as a Gender Specialist where she undertook literature research and reviews on the implementation of policies and programs that affect the status of women in Botswana and promoted networking and collaboration between women NGO’s and partners. She holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from University of Dar-es-salaam in Tanzania, and Masters of Arts Degree in Development studies with speciality in Women and Development, obtained in the Hague, Netherlands.
Miss Lesedi Moloi is Programme Officer for Ghanzi district. she was working for the United Nations AIDS Botswana as a project officer, prior to joining ACHAP. Her role was to assist the project manager to co-ordinate, implement, monitor and evaluate the project activities, provide guidance and support to the community based organization, and prepare reports as well as networking with the other youth organizations serving the youth to avoid duplication of effort and ensure effective implementation of project activities. She was actively involved in the advocacy and community mobilization for the Youth project. She has also worked for Ministry of Education as a Teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities from the University of Botswana and is currently reading for Master of Arts in African languages and Literature, still with the University of Botswana.
Mrs Margaret Mahapa is Programme Officer for Ghanzi district. Her career spans for sixteen years as a teacher, lecturer, Nutritionist, counsellor and Programme Officer. Her assignments included writing project documents for the Teacher’s training programme, co-coordinating the development, review, production and launching of the Ministerial HIV/AIDS policy, running capacity building workshops and establishing a Monitoring and evaluation system. She has worked for Seke Teacher’s College as Lecturer on HIV/AIDS management, Harare children’s hospital as part time nutritionist, and UNESCO as HIV/AIDS Programme Officer. She has also written project proposals; co-ordinated HIV/AIDS youth programmes and worked for various NGO’s as counselor and Nutritionist. She holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and is currently pursuing Masters Degree in Education on part time basis.
Miss Minkie Bokole is Programme Officer for Chobe district. Her career spans for twelve years as a Social Welfare Officer, Youth Programme Officer and Acting National Co-ordinator. Prior to joining ACHAP she was with Women and Law in Southern Africa (WLSA) where she developed project proposals, assessed training needs and development of training programs, as well planning, co-ordinating and implementing the organisations strategic and action plans. She has also worked for Botswana National Youth Council as Desk Officer for Africa Youth Alliance where she was implementing mandates in the area of Youth Development Programs Co-ordination. She has also worked for the Ministry of Local Government as the Social Welfare Officer and was placed at South East District, Kgalagadi district and Lobatse Town Council. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Botswana, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Clinical Social work, again with University Of Botswana.
Mr Moreri Mokgadi is Programme Officer for Serowe/Palapye District. His career spans for 7 years as a School Social worker, Project officer and currently as a Social worker/Adherence Counselor. Prior to joining ACHAP he was working with the Global Fund seconded to the Southern District Council based in Moshupa Council Clinic, where his duties and responsibilities involved coordinating the implementation of ARV project, providing direct counseling for people living with HIV/AIDS, providing adherence counseling for people on ARV therapy and managing and coordinating the ARV data. As a Project Officer at UNV and UNAIDS, he assisted with the coordination, implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation of the project activities, provided technical assistance to community based organizations and facilitated the implementation at community level. He also facilitated collaboration and networking with stakeholders. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Botswana. He is currently enrolled for a Masters of social work on part time basis at the University of Botswana.
