ACHAP supports The Botswana Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (BBCA) in sensitization of the business community on HIV/AIDS issues; developing workplace HIV/AIDS policies; and setting up HIV/AIDS programmes for workers in the companies. ACHAP further supports pooling resources, sharing experiences and using the workplace as a vehicle for accessing existing government HIV/AIDS.. With ACHAP support the BBCA Secretariat has developed a Toolkit for workplace HIV/AIDS activities; has organized the annual Red Ribbon Competition in 2005 and 2006 to recognize business companies’ achievement in HIV/AIDS policies, the Secretariat represents the private sector on HIV/AIDS issues at the national level and promotes the principle of co-investment.

ACHAP assisted the House of Hope in Serowe-Palapye to build a daycare centre for children who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. The center provides daycare facilities where children receive care and support when they are not attending school and alleviate the extended families from some of the burden of caring for these children. Children are provided with a hot meal and participate in games, singing and other activities. The centre currently provides care for approximately 80 children.
